Crack detection system for magnetic particle testing (MPJ)

MPJ crack inspection systems are used specifically for the detection of surface cracks, including longitudinal and transverse defects, in test pieces up to 900 mm in length.

The workpiece is magnetised by means of current flushing and yoke magnetisation, which can be carried out simultaneously or sequentially. To ensure optimum crack detection for each test piece, the magnetisation circuits can be individually switched and controlled.
Depending on the customer’s requirements, the standard system can be equipped with various options and automation modules, such as different UV lighting systems, a fully automatic surface shower or a PC touch panel.

The touch panel is particularly recommended for customers with frequent workpiece changes, documentation and standardisation requirements, or to minimise administrative effort.
