Crack detection system for magnetic particle testing (MPC)

The MPC crack inspection system for magnetic particle testing is used specifically for the detection of surface cracks, including longitudinal and transverse defects, in test pieces measuring 1000 mm or more in length.

The workpiece is magnetised using current flushing and coil magnetisation, which can be carried out simultaneously or sequentially. To ensure optimum crack detection for each test piece, the magnetisation circuits can be individually switched and controlled.

Depending on the customer’s requirements, the standard system can be equipped with various options and automation modules, such as different UV lighting systems, a fully automatic surface shower or a PC panel system.
